Essential Duties and Responsibilities in this existing vacant position include, but are not limited to:

  • receive customer requests for fabric yardage
  • locate fabric and pull from the warehouse
  • cut yardage to fill customer orders
  • inspect product for non-conformity
  • package and label yardage for shipment to customer
  • verify the yardage remaining on the roll in the computer system and adjust data
  • re-label roll of fabric before it is returned to the warehouse with correct information
  • ability to operate and maintain an automatic wrapping machine
  • respond positively to changes in requirements
  • keep work area organized and clean
  • ability to operate a forklift
  • ability to operate computer (hand held and desk top)
  • perform miscellaneous duties as necessary
  • follow safe work practices
  • participate in LEAN, safety, and other sustainability initiatives
  • maintain environmental standards and support ISO 14001 initiatives

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • ability to perform basic computer skills
  • ability to work alone, plan work activities, and coordinate assistance with others
  • ability to perform basic math skills
  • must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • must have strong attention to detail
  • must be dependable, punctual and adhere to attendance policy
  • willingness to work overtime as needed
  • must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • must be cooperative and willing to learn new responsibilities

  • ability to handle multiple priorities and to adapt quickly to change
  • experience in warehouse operation

  • the ability to wear a filtering face piece (dust mask) as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities in this existing vacant position include, but are not limited to:

  • run industrial knitting machines efficiently and effectively as assigned by the supervisor
  • assist with additional machines as necessary to insure efficiency is maintained
  • material handle, audit and steam additional parts as necessary
  • must be able to make, identify, and repair knitting flaws
  • read and interpret directions on work orders for machine program selection and part measurement requirements
  • for length, width or weight
  • ensure the upkeep of a clean and safe work area on a daily basis
  • record inventory transactions in DATATEX computer and complete necessary paperwork
  • work to increase knowledge of machine repairs and knitting procedures
  • perform miscellaneous duties as necessary
  • follow safe work practices
  • participate in LEAN, safety, and other sustainability initiatives
  • maintain environmental standards and support ISO 14001 initiatives
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be cooperative and willing to learn new responsibilities
  • must be dependable, punctual, and adhere to attendance policy
  • willingness to work overtime or different shifts when required due to production requirements/customer demand
  • must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • must wear appropriate proper personal protective equipment

  • frequent bending, stooping, and twisting, ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • ability to extend and uplift arms
  • use of hands and fingers to handle needles and for sewing
  • ability to recognize subtle color differences and identify color matching discrepancies in yarns and knit parts
  • must be able to work in varying temperatures within manufacturing areas
